The True Begining..................

This morning I got the call that will change my life. I am 100% APPROVED for my Lap Band Surgery. I'm so excited and ready I can't hardly stand it. It's a little hard to explain the way i feel right now. I am feeling a thousand things: I'm excited, maybe a little nervous and so ready so finally start my journey. After the call I wanted to call almost everyone I am close to, to spread the good news. It sucks because my husbands a Marine and in the field (working straight for 4 days away from home) and I can't tell him quite yet. (Which is killing me inside). So i called my surgeons office to tell them the news and get this ball rolling and come to find out my surgeon is on  his vacation this week ... Boo :-( It doesn't really effect me that much, but his office assistant that has been dealing with my case is off work today so i have to wait till tomorrow to start scheduling things. I guess one more day won't kill  me. I'm NOT looking forward to the pre-op diet they are going to put me on. Which is mostly Liquids ughh lol. However support will be helpful. Tonight is actually my once a month support group meeting at the hospital, so that will be helpful to go to, and jump for joy with the other lap band people who will understand how excited i am for this approval. My next couple of blogs should be more intense as things speed along. I promise to go through this emotional journey with you and share all even if things aren't pretty. Right before I start my pre-op diet I will take Measurements and pictures to share with you a long the way. (That I think will be very emotional and hard) but inspired by other women that I have been in contact with -going through this same journey i know I'm not alone and they definitely keep me motivated. Thank you to all that have been crossing your fingers and praying for my insurance to go through, Without that my surgery would be much more far out of reach.
